Hi ladies! I’m Darby.
Your resident single working mom. But in all seriousness being a mom is the toughest job ever. Especially, when you’re the one doing the most. I have a 7-year-old son. He is amazing but he is also challenging. I work ten hours a day and then I take him to wrestling practice two hours a day 4 days a week. Finding time for me is hard. Honestly most nights I fall asleep before my son does. Do you ever wonder if you’re doing a good job? Or if your child is happy? I can tell you I do every single minute of every day. For me the only way to tell is in the hug I get in the morning and before bed and the laughter or in the rocking out and singing in the car. Being a mom pays in love and hugs and kisses. Sure I may not have a fancy car or a beautiful house or the white picket fence. But what I do have is a little person who looks up to me and will one day know that everything I have ever done was for him. I may lose sleep and have tons of grey hairs but I have the best job ever. And that is being the mom and the best friend of my 7-year-old.
If anyone ever has any questions or topics that they want me to cover please let me know I am totally open to it. I am going t to post once a week.
